“Fields and Kelly run amazing summer camps, balancing many things, but particularly providing a good mix of fun and training in their camps--river rafting and intense games under the lights on a summer evening. Fields and Kelly are two of the most dedicated soccer coaches I know of and are so "in" the youth soccer world, finding ways to help parents navigate what is important and what is not, having the proper perspective. As well, they are two extremely driven individuals and are able to make a lot happen with their unique energy.”

What are your options for the summer camp?

Residential: This camp option allows the players the full-immersive experience of camp. They will check-in to a dorm with one other roommate and eat, sleep, and play Sporting S7v7ns and all that we have to offer.

Extended Day: This camp option is for those that want to spend the entire day with the camp but make their own lodging accommodations. While breakfast will be on their own, we will provide lunch and dinner for all our extended day campers.

Rising 7’s: This camp is for the young players that just can’t wait for their turn at Sporting S7v7ns! With an age-appropriate curriculum, we make sure to instill a love and passion for the game in our Soccer Stars as well as give them the proper instruction for their basic skillset. Join us for a morning or an afternoon session that is fun, exciting, and a great learning experience. ALL Rising 7’s will get their very own ball because that means a great deal to us - it is in our mission to provide this!

What all is included in the camp?

Sporting S7v7ns Academy is a destination summer camp. By design, we want our participants to experience more on and off the field. Oftentimes the memories that stick with our participants over the years are not those made competing, but those unforeseen experiences with newly formed friendships. We combine strong technical and tactical development with unique social and leadership mentoring through activities found solely in these destinations. White water rafting, river tubing, hot springs, outdoor yoga, and hiking are just a few examples of how we spend our down time at Sporting S7v7ns Academy.

Our Sporting S7v7ns Soccer Academy includes:

  • On-field sessions/instruction

  • Classroom Sessions

  • Off-field fun: River rafting, yoga recovery (extra-curricular activities may change depending on unforeseen circumstances)

  • Detailed player evaluation provided

  • 7-Aside Tournament

What is the staff like?

Our Sporting S7v7ns Academy staff is made up of the best professional coaches in the country. Not only are they extremely passionate and knowledgeable about youth sports, but they hold themselves to the professional standard the we expect at Sporting S7v7ns. They are committed to truly learning about and developing the individual while also providing an unmatched summer camp experience. All coaches receive extensive background screening before they are named part of the Sporting S7v7ns family. We have a variety of highly accomplished and passionate coaches that make up our staff, coaching at the Youth, Collegiate, Semi Professional, and High School levels. We look to comprise our staff with quality people, who can not only provide a great camp coaching experience but also make a lasting impact upon your player in a short amount of time. Our staff has followed us through the years at various camps, coaching opportunities, and life events. We truly care for each other and the players we bring in. We have been lucky to bring in professional coaches who have become family and tremendous mentors to our participants. It is because of them that we have been able to provide such an incredible experience.

What makes our camp different?

  1. Coaches: We bring in the TOP selection of professional coaches that have the highest expertise in the game, but they are also the TOP people to mentor your young athlete. We guarantee they will make your child love the game and love Sporting S7v7ns.

  2. Development: We provide detailed and accurate feedback for player development and next steps.

  3. Memories: We combine on-field intensity with off-field memories. An afternoon of rafting thru the Glenwood Canyon is a safe and unique way to spend our downtime. Kids can be kids again at our summer, soccer camp.

What facilities will be used?

Everything is ON SITE!! We are very excited to be hosting our camps at the campus of Colorado Mountain College - Glenwood Campus (Soccer) and Steamboat Springs Campus (Flag Football). The fields, classroom sessions, dormitories, and cafeteria are all in ONE location!! Can you imagine a more beautiful place to train?

Will you have an athletic trainer on site?

Yes! There will be a dedicated athletic trainer that will be on the fields throughout the day to help with any injuries that may occur.

What kind of supervision is provided for the players?

Players will be supervised 24 hours a day by our coaching staff, dedicated camp counselors, camp directors, and athletic training staff. We keep our staff-player ratio to a 1:10 max and will make sure all supervisors are easily approachable in any circumstance.

What is this 7v7 philosophy and how will my player benefit from it?

Our 7-aside training methodology has proven to provide 36% more opportunities to make decisions, execute meaningful touches, and solve complex game scenarios while not changing technique of context of an 11-aside match.

Think about it… in an 11-aside match, players are often waiting for the ball to come into their area or their side of the field. Not in 7v7. Not here. Here, they will be involved in almost every play therefore increasing their opportunities to improve.

The best part about it? Everything is transferrable to the real game. Players will play on age-appropriate goals which means they are shooting on full-size frames and goalkeepers will be defending the same as well! It’s a win-win!

7-ASIDE POSSIBLE FORMATION

What is the cancellation policy?

Deposits and registration fees made at the time of registration are non-refundable unless Cancellation Insurance has been purchased at the time of registration. If insurance was purchased, families are entitled to all moneys paid (money back on the card outside of the 30 days prior to camp and then a camp credit for cancellations made within 30 days of the start of camp to be used within 2 years of the camp refunded). For those that did not purchase cancellation insurance, cancellations within 30 days before the start of camp are subject to a cancellation fee of 25% of total tuition price. Once a player has checked in to their purchased camp session, no payments will be refunded and all sales are final. No refunds will be given for willful absences, no-shows, or expulsions. Modifying or changing your registration purchase will result in a $25 change fee for administrative purposes.

Do you offer a goalkeeper specific camp?

Yes, all of our goal keepers will be trained by our professional goalkeeping staff and provided specific feedback on the position. They will have separate goalkeeper sessions and then join their training groups throughout the day.
